Objective of Har Ghar Nal Yojana

The main objective of Har Ghar Nal Yojana is to provide clean drinking water in rural areas, so that child mortality due to water diseases can be reduced. Under this scheme, the target is to provide water connections to 6 crore houses by the year 2024. For which the government allocated Rs 3.60 lakh crore.
